The Greater Northwood Covenant Association’s current volunteer treasurer is completing her term in December. Will you serve as her replacement?
We would welcome anyone with a strong financial or bookkeeping background and a collaborative community spirit to join our team of humble but determined volunteers.
Ideally the former treasurer will orient the new treasurer to the position, so please contact us now to serve.
Volunteer position description – Treasurer:
· act as liaison to any bookkeeping services retained by the GNCA (Research and advise AFS on how to resolve disputed accounts);
· review and report on all financial transactions of the GNCA (Create quarterly financial statements outlining what each community raised, how much administrative expenses were taken off the top and how much is available for use by each community);
· ensure quarterly/annual forms are submitted to local/state/federal agencies and oversee all tax and regulatory filings. (Person Property Form 1 due April 1st and 990 due May 15, etc)
· Attend four quarterly meetings and one annual meeting each year and report on the association’s financial activity at each
-Experience successfully balancing a checkbook
-Intermediate knowledge of Excel functions
-Incredible patience and determination a plus
